Michael Jackson died today at the age of 50.

I figure now might be as good a time as any to admit I like him.

That's entirely true, but Michael Jackson was arguably more controversial, which makes him more influential. Come to think of it, I heard Prince on the radio once, and I was impressed.

Also worth noting: When the Guitar Hero developers asked to put his songs in the game, he turned the offer down because he felt "it's more important that kids learn how to actually play the guitar." Gotta love the man.
